Jeannine N. Washington, MMFT
Founder and Therapist

I’ve found that experience has indeed been the best teacher both professionally and on a deeply personal level.

Throughout my career as a public servant, I have had the priviledge to serve at-risk youth, individuals, and families, walking with them through unimaginable circumstances. I am endlessly inspired by unmatched resilience at every turn, and was moved to dig deeper. I venture into the ups and downs of relationships, complicated family dynamics and deep-rooted trauma that defies hope, blurring any vision of “normal”…whatever that is.

Ask me how I know.

As a therapist, my approach is simple: no masks and no judgment—just real, authentic conversations that help you move forward.

Leading with compassion, respect and sincere interest in your unique experiences, I bring empathy, an open mind, and sound clinical expertise.

My “why”… Because no one should suffer in silence.

This reality drives my passion to decrease stigma while breaking generational and systemic barriers. There is space for truth, healing and hope. I’m here…fighting for my family and yours.

A proud Michigan native, Jeannine earned her Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and Human Services from the University of Detroit Mercy and went on to earn her Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy, specializing in trauma, from Abilene Christian University. She is licensed in the State of Texas and brings both lived experience and advanced training to her work with individuals, couples, and families.

Jeannine is a therapist, advocate, and straight-shooter who has spent over 18 years working with at-risk youth, families, and communities of Black and Indigenous People of Color (BIPOC) too often overlooked by the system. Her career began in the State of Michigan Department of Human Services, continued with the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services, and later with the Houston Independent School District—giving her a front-line view of the challenges people face and the gaps in mental health care access.

Known for her real, no-sugarcoating approach paired with deep empathy and respect for her clients, Jeannine creates a space where people can drop the mask, speak their truth, and start doing the work to heal, grow, and live beyond survival mode.
